There is still plenty of time to order your 2012 Sawtooth Scenes calendar!

The deadline for photo submissions for next year’s calendar is January 31. If you have some stunning shots taken in the Sawtooths or surrounding area we would love to see them and consider them for the 2013 edition of Sawtooth Scenes. Send a photo CD to the library P.O. Box 230, Stanley, Idaho 83278 or email high quality .jpgs to stanley.id.library(at)gmail(dot)com.

2012 is shaping up to be a wonderful year for the library and we are moving ever closer to our dream of having a new building to host all the important events and resources the Stanley Community Library provides to everyone who lives in or visits our beautiful corner of the world.

It was a big snow year in the Sawtooths and while the flakes flew outside our team of volunteers was poring through photographs and looking at proofs. The result is a gorgeous calendar showcasing the beauty that surrounds us here in Stanley, Idaho. It may be the best of our calendars yet. As always, proceeds benefit an excellent cause.

It’s hard to put into words what the Stanley Community Library means to central Idaho. Sure, it’s a vital resource and community gathering place for the residents of Stanley but it also provides services to the hundreds of people who visit the Sawtooth and Stanley basins each year. The current building is straining under this responsibility and that’s why we’re looking for a new home. Every calendar you purchase benefits the Stanley Community Library Building Fund.
